A Shared Vision: Bridging Cultures Through Indigenous Art
Jyoti Bhandari Chandra and Sahil Sharma come from worlds of finance and human resources yet share a deep-rooted passion for indigenous creativity.
Jyoti, founder of Lovak Capital and a seasoned private banker, has spent over two decades advising UHNWIs and family offices. Behind the numbers, she nurtured a lifelong love for Indian crafts — sketchbooks, museums, handmade gifts. This passion turned purposeful during the pandemic, when she supported tribal artists through NGO partnerships. What started as a mission became a movement — to give indigenous creators the recognition they deserve.
Motif is their shared tapestry—woven with intention, respect, and a belief that indigenous art belongs on the global stage, not behind glass. It is a space where culture is honored, artists are empowered, and collectors are invited to become part of a movement rooted in meaning.
Honoring Roots. Empowering Artists. Connecting Worlds.
Motif was born from a belief: that indigenous art is not a relic, but a vibrant expression of human connection to land, spirit, and story. We are a global platform dedicated to showcasing the brilliance of indigenous creators from India and beyond. Our aim is not just to preserve these traditions, but to champion their evolution - so artists can thrive, and their stories reach hearts across the world.
A Global Collective, Rooted in Respect
From the detailed linework of Indian tribal painters to the organic forms of Aboriginal and Native American art, Motif curates with authenticity and reverence. Every piece is ethically sourced, with the artist not just credited—but celebrated.
Where Culture Meets Conscious Collecting
Motif is a movement to reframe how we experience indigenous creativity—not as token or trend, but as deep cultural collaboration. When you collect through Motif, you invest in artistic legacies, support families, and become a steward of stories that matter.

Our Vision
- Elevate indigenous artists to the global stage.
- Bring international tribal art to Indian collectors and enthusiasts.
